Enable Cost Management

Enabling Azure Cost Management allows organizations to monitor, control, and optimize their Azure expenditures. The steps to enable this feature vary based on the type of agreement your organization has with Microsoft.

Enterprise Agreement (EA)

  1. Sign in to the Azure portal with an Enterprise Administrator account.

  2. Navigate to Cost Management + Billing.

  3. Select your billing account.

  4. Under Settings, choose Policies.

  5. Set Account owners can view charges (AO view charges) to On.

Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA)

  1. Sign in to the Azure portal with an account having Billing Profile Owner permissions.

  2. Navigate to Cost Management + Billing.

  3. Select your billing account.

  4. Under Billing, choose Billing profiles.

  5. Select the relevant billing profile.

  6. In the left menu, select Policies.

  7. Set Azure charges to Yes.

Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Agreement

Ask your CSP provider to do this for you.
